With nearly 10,000 staff, NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS) plays a lead role in producing digitally accessible resources for the people of NSW.
Through Accessibility NSW, the Department engaged Juntos Marketing to design and develop an internal communications campaign to improve the uptake of digital accessibility best-practice principles across all Department staff.
Our campaign raised awareness of common digital barriers and solutions, encouraged staff to adopt inclusive design practices, and equipped them with the tools to sustain long-term change.
Following the development of our comprehensive campaign strategy and creative design direction, Juntos Marketing undertook full content production.
To bring the campaign to life, we planned and undertook a professional photo shoot so that resources could accurately represent real people living with a diverse range of abilities.
The suite of visual assets included digital flyers, posters and branded t-shirts, bringing the key messages to life online and in the bricks-and-mortar workspace.
Written content included short-form blog stories and e-newsletters, spotlighting the everyday challenges faced by people with diverse access needs such as blindness, ADHD, low vision, and brain injury.
Longer-form articles offered actionable tips, tools, and resources to help staff remove barriers and embed accessible practices. A key call-to-action was to undertake the Department’s own online accessibility training modules.
